This is largely because no amount of well reasoned argument will prevail. These things are generally won by those who are willing to type the most bumper sticker slogans in all caps, as if yelling these arguments make them more nuanced and persuasive. Unfortunately, there is a full blown war of ignorance on my Facebook feed that has me on the verge jumping in with a double barrel full of logic....
